The chapel of Agia Marina is built on a small hill outside of the Asgata village, close to the regional elementary school and the east shore of the Akrisikia rivulet.
It is a stone built construction that has a very inventful and long lasting history.
During the years of idolatry there was a cemetery in the same place. When Christianity prevailed the cemetery was destroyed and a church was built in its place. That church suffered many changes that was finally neglected until 1935, when the theatre group of the village built a new one in its place. The one had many extensions added to it. In 1995 some Asgata settler built the church to its current state.
