The old church of Agios Georgios in Potami, Morphou, is built on a small hill on the south exit of the village and it dominates the river that passes in the area.
It is an old building and was constructed in 1550 by the Queen of Cyprus of that period, Aikaterini Kornaro. It is a single aisled basilica. The Church has sculpted reliefs on the outside.
