From the point of entry in the picnic area of “Mantra tou Kampiou” in the National Forest Park of Machairas, coming from Kapedes, the path of observation of nature called “Monopati Mantra tou Kampiou - Throumpiari” begins.
The path leads you into the forest of Machairas and after a kilometre and a half it takes you back to the picnic area.
As a journey it is very easy and does not present any accessibility difficulties. It is a path for walking in the forest.
The Department of Forests classifies it as accessible to people on wheelchairs. It is very possible that it was accessible for people on wheelchairs during the year of its inauguration, but today it is not anymore. At some points it has become a ragged path and the rains have opened grooves in it, making the journey for people on wheelchairs impossible. Basically we are sure that the Department will fix it upon their visit during the coming summer.
In general it may be used by the whole family and become a motivation for all of its members to walk along it together. From some points of the path, they may have a panoramic view of the Kionia mountain.
