No one refers to the chapel of Agia Marina in Alaminos. At the entrance of the village, there is a mosaique in her name, but everything begins and ends there.
The chapel is built on the eastern side of the village, that is, the side where Turkish Cypriots lived. Nothing makes you think that the building is a chapel. It is not being taken care of.
We asked and we were told that years ago, the Turks had transformed it into a mosque for some period of time. It is possible that this is the reason why it is abandoned.
