In a small distance from the centre of the village of Mazotos, on the northeast side, there are two Churches that are dedicated to Agios Xenofontas, or how the residents call him, “Agios Ksorinos”.

The small Church was built in this location, in the place of another, older one after a rumour about a miracle performed by the Saint.

A settler from Mazotos, whose origins were from Karpasia was commanded by the Saint to go to Voukolida and bring his icon that existed in a chapel from 1821 to Mazotos.

The man did what the Saint told him to do, and brought the icon to Mazoos. From the very first moment that the icon arrived in Mazotos, the miracles of the Saint began. All heathen were eliminated or moved from the village. This is how he was called “Ksorinos”.

Next to the old chapel, a new, bigger Church was built a few years ago.
