Chapels in Cyprus - Saints Constantinos and Eleni, Sia, Nicosia

On the peak of a hill, the chapel of the Saints Constantinos and Eleni is built. It is a small chapel, built in 1950.

It is a square-shaped construction with bricks on the roof. The belfry is built with arches and it stands next to the chapel.

On the north slope of the hill, on the river level that runs through the area, the so-called Agiasma is found. Steps made of cement guide you there, where you can see the place that many years ago, the residents transformed to a church and celebrated the two Saints.

It is called the tziouri. It is a squared construction made of marble, that contains icons of the Saints, and there, the villagers tied up sheets on it and on the trees nearby, and this is how they formed a square from the point where the priest performed the liturgy.
