The chapel of Agios Georgios Arperas is found in the administrative periphery of the Tersefanou village, in Larnaca. It was built in 1745 and it is arched.
In the same village, there was a glebe of the Stavrovouni monastery in the surrounding area and there are different witnesses about its existence. Ruins with arches witness it, but unfortunately they had been transformed into folds instead of being restored and protected.
The chapel itself is built in a very small village with perennial olive trees, cypresses and gigantic turpentines and could attract travelers on its own.
In about 100 metres the Tremithou dam is raised, that during good hydrological years for Cyprus, it irrigated the whole valley until Kiti.
The visitor will easily realise that the chapel has been abandoned. In about 50 metres there are two folds that create a complex environment. The surrounding area is grassy and unkempt, it is dangerous for the perennial trees.
Once again we are obliged to say that these natural monuments should be taken care of by some department in order to protect them from time.
