The church of Agios Mavrikios in Pissouri is found on the peak of a small hill dominating the valley of Linidion which is at its most planted with the sweet fruit of Soultanina.
Agios Mavrikios is known to cure callus. Anybody suffering with callus should get some soil from the church and mold it into mud and put it on the spot where the callus “grows”. In about an hour it will fall off and the patient will be fully well.
It is a strange construction and it seems to have been modified from time to time. It is a single aisled Basilica and has a gabled vaulted roof. The belfry must have been added a lot later and it is made up of concrete. It is found on the south wall.
From the forecourt you can observe the whole valley with its vines.
It is always open.
