The Holy Church of Konstantinos and Eleni in Ilioupolis is a Church that has been inaugurated very recently. Even though it has not been fully complete, it shows its magnificence. It is a rare monument, due to its size and its architecture. Basically, for projects of this grandeur, the appropriate funding should be calculated first and then start their construction. It is not acceptable for a monument that is estimated at a price over ten million to be fenced with paling like the ones used in orchards.
The surroundings, a dried up field. It is a shame for a project such as this Church to have an inappropriate committee in charge. The impression created by seeing the whole situation is very bad. The Church itself is very imposing, it humbles you and puts you down as a human being. If this Church is ever completed, it will be a pole of attraction for thousands of believers, and the whole area will benefit from it.
