The small port, or the known “yacht shelter” in the beach zone of the Alaminos village of Cyprus, is found next to an unbelievably beautiful beach, just like the Secret Paradise beach. A few hundreds of metres west you will find the tourist resort called Aldiana Zypern.
The port, even though the sign classifies it to the yacht shelters, it only receives fishing boats.
It is a well planned and perfectly constructed shelter. It consists of two main parts. The external one is the one that protects the vessels from the waves, is made of huge boulders that are elaborately arranged at an angle of 45 degrees. The jetty is used by many visitors to walk along it, or to observe the land from the sea side.
Even though the reason it is underactive, is that in the future (when will that be?) it will be used for the realisation of its deepening, the fact is that the reality remains unchangeable, that being that it is only used by 10-15 fishing boats, and even though it is a costly project, it is underactive.
