Panagia tis Galaktotrofousas’ Holy Monastery, is another female monastery of the Church of Cyprus.
In order to find it, you should take the old road from Nicosia to Limassol. At the beginning of the slope of Kakoratzia, you should follow the exit on the right. By passing under the motorway and going on for a few hundreds of metres, parallel to the motorway, they will find a turn to the right. Then you should continue on the same road for a kilometre and on the right you shall see the satellite station’s facilities (photographs are allowed, but before taking one, ask just in case) and on the opposite side, you will find the Monastery.
It’s a very poor Monastery. The visitor does not need to make great effort to understand that there is significant poverty here. The monastery is almost unknown and its few revenues come from the few dozens of believers that visit it on Sundays for the Holy Mass.
