In the village of Agia Anna, found in Larnaca, a chapel dedicated to Panagia Eleousa is found built. You will find it a little bit outside of the village, on the road towards the Psevdas village, on the right side of it, on the peak of a small hill, before the community football field.
The chapel was built wholly with volunteer work, done by the settlers of Agia Anna and it is the realisation of the offerings of a soldier that was found behind the Turkish lines being in danger of dying in 1974.
He asked from Our Lady to help him to pass over to the free area and he would build a chapel in her name. And so it happened.
He escaped death, and the soldier built a small chapel in the area after some time, which is still there today.
From 1991 onwards, after the decision of the settlers of Agia Anna, they built a bigger Church nearby and they dedicated it to Panagia Eleousa.
