Bridges in Cyprus - Diplogefiro, Delikipos, Nicosia

The old bridge that united the two shores of the Milos river was the Diplogefiro. It was named as such, since it consists of two great arches resulting to give the impression that it is a double bridge.

It is found 500 metres after the Delikipos community park, on the way to Lefkara. It is not visible from the road, even though it is exactly next to and parallel to it. It is hidden by the cypresses, thus you have to notice the sign that will guide you to it.

It is a very beautiful bridge that is dated very many years ago, and if you visit it, take the time to admire its architecture. Next to Diplogefiro, there is a small dam that is enriching, which means that it allows some water flow into the river.

It is worth visiting the area, since there are many things to see. A picnic area and a community park, two ancient bridges, a dame, a beautiful chapel dedicated to Agios Georgios and of course the small green village, Delikipos, and all of this within a distance of about 500 metres.
